Sire: Fernleigh Fine Print
Dam: Lesfield Mustang Sally
Sally is the sweetest, most loving mare who has ‘been there and done that’ in every sense. I bought Sally when I was 13 and have learnt so much from her. Sally is a very well educated pony with well-established flying changes, leg yields, shoulder-in and counter canter. Sits happily in a frame in both a snaffle and double bridle. She has helped me improve my skills as a rider and taken me up the levels of showing through to Royal. She is only being sold as I am moving overseas for university.
Sally has been out of competition for around 6 months now as I had my main focus on my other horse, however she is in full work at home and her results include:
* 2024 Interschools National Championships: 3rd Overall Senior Show Horse
* 2024 SHCA HOTY: Top 10 Open Small Show Galloway
* Dec 2023 NSW State Riding Pony Show Champion Highest Point Score Senior Child
Over the years Sally has won many Champions and Supreme at Agricultural Shows, Champion at Emma’s Show Horse Champs and numerous Top 5 and Top 10 at HOTY, Pacific Coast and Southern Cross. She always gives me a beautiful ride to win multiple Rider 1sts and Champions. Sally has done jumping around 60cm and won, however she is happiest in the show ring and has competed purely in showing for the last few years. She extends beautifully and has a lovely movement. She is unfazed by ringside rides, crowds, busy warm up rings at Sydney Royal and goes from stable or float to the ring with no lunging required. Sally can at times be a little sensitive and ‘looky’ but not spooky. She is fine with farm machinery, cattle, sheep and kangaroos. She can have weeks off and you can hop back on without lunging. No buck, rear, bolt or any dangerous quirks. Her only vice (and only a recent one) is that she can kick in the float but this has never affected her performance. Easy to ride bareback and is also happy to take out on a trail ride.
Sally is happy to be by herself or with a friend while in the paddock or stables. She is easy to handle at all times on the ground and easy to prep, plait, shoe, drench, and have her teeth done. Sally requires sedation for having her ears clipped, but is fine with the rest of her body. Sally has had no injuries and vet checks are welcome.
Sally would suit a child/young rider that wants to continue their showing at a higher level or to progress up the levels. Letting her go breaks my heart, as she is the most genuine girl who has done everything for me and therefore will only be sold to the best of homes that will love and care for her as we have done the past 5 years.
Option to purcahse fully mounted custom County saddle and girth, and winter Bucas.
Show Hunter Hack also for sale.
