Lovely 8 year old Clydie x ASH mare.  She is a BIG 15.3hh girl - she measures exactly 15.3hh but is in a 6'6" rug due to her solid build.

Truly outstanding future performance horse. Scarlett continues to impress from day to day. This is a very difficult sale of a mare that is telling me daily she deserves to be a part of my performance team, but my life just doesn't allow for it at present.

Every day she tries her hear out.  Her work ethic is second to none, her movement, suppleness through the back and look-at-me presence are really making this sale difficult.

When she first came to me, it was clear that she's had a bit of an unhappy past, however, she is putting her best foot forward in letting that go and looking for the good in life.  She draws her confidence from her human. She loves confident, straight forward interaction with positive reinforcement, love and treats (lots of treats).  She's good to do most things with (saddle, bridle, rug, mount/dismount, etc.) and isn't spooky in anyway.

She has been at the local pony club grounds where she has been around other horses, on the big arenas (dressage/showjumping), out on the x-country course (just to have a look).  She has also been to a large indoor arena with full length mirrors and LOVED HERSELF SICK IN THEM (LOL!!!). Not a spook in sight - just got down to business and worked the house down.

This mare is green but SUPER willing.  She needs an EXPERIENCED rider with an independent, balanced seat and soft hands to further her education.  She is kind, but doesn't 'understand' someone who hangs onto the reins for balance.  She's not nasty - she'll just stop and won't go for you.  She gives the rider a safe and calm feeling and is ready to head out for her first prelim start - which we will be doing imminently.

She does have her quirks (what horse doesn't?) and won't be sold to an inexperienced rider or someone looking for a quick turnover project.  I purchased Scarlett for myself and my daughter, however, due to unforseen personal circumstances, I feel it is better for her that she is moved on.  This is through NO FAULT of her own - she hasn't put a foot wrong since she has been here and we all love her to bits.  If we can't find her a suitable home, she'll just stay.  Scarlett is very sensitive in every way: she is very soft to the contact, she is also very sensitive off the leg.  You will never have to push her or get weary asking for lateral work.
She has lovely paces, stretches through her back beautifully at the trot and has a wonderful balanced, calm canter.

Scarlett's flat work is coming along extremely well, and she mostly works in a very correct frame, soft and supple over the back in a soft contact.  She is very light off the leg aids and shows great aptitude for lateral work and collection.  She's largely untried at jumping - I've popped her over some very small jumps and she's dealt with it like everything else - she just gave it a go without too much fuss.

Due to her amazing broad range of talent and wonderful temperament, her price will increase in time, according with her level or training.  Currently fully rugged, hard fed and in work, ready to take on the world!  I don't think she's far off being able to go out and do a very competitive prelim dressage test.
