Floaty moving, Talented Gelding, Great nature!

Henbury Charlie 

7yo, 16hh Warmblood X TB gelding by Calgary GNZ

Charlie is a much loved gelding bred by Henbury Horses out of one of their favourite WBXTB foundation mares by Grand Prix Stallion Ixion. 

He has been produced for the purpose of Eventing since mid-last year, but he has previously been out showjumping with junior riders as young as 11 years old 80/90cm.  He is one of those horses I can confidently put my students on to ride and train. 

Charlie has the most amazing floaty movement. His trot just gets bigger as he goes more forward and he has an impressive canter. He has won the dressage with scores up to 74% in this phase which would transfer to being a competitive dressage horse. He is schooling shoulder in, leg yield counter canter and has amazing extension so could go out competitively straight dressage now! 

He has been out to several Ag shows and jump club, competing up to 1.05m Showjumping and completed his first EvA95 start at Canberra Horse Trials. He is always good to go out, tie up on his own or with other horses. No lunging just hop on and go. He is really starting to hit is straps in this phase showing some serious scope to his jump. But also happy to just pop over them also.  

Charlie is great to take out, tie up to the truck, lead behind a quad and is a very loving affectionate boy. He shows plenty of scope and ability to move up the levels, but he would also be happy to poke along with a young rider. 

I see this horse being a superstar Eventer, Interschools mount or even a fancy Dressage horse where he always scores well.
