Disciplines13.3hh, 10yo Welsh X Arab by Owendale Sunstone. Forseti Park Alexander aka ‘Alec’ Reluctant sale - Alec has been a much loved member of our family for 3 years now and will only be sold to a great home. Heartbreaking decision because he really is the most affectionate, beautiful unicorn that I've had the pleasure of owning. Alec is a very sweet and sensible gelding that is equally happy out on a trail (in company or by himself) as he is in the arena. Alec has been professionally schooled intermittently, and ridden regularly by my daughter (and her friends). My daughter has taken him cross-country schooling, cantering around open fields, out on the trails with her friends and swimming at the beach which he loves. Competition: EA65cm, 80cm show jumping and prelim dressage. Alec has a very bold personality with eventer written all over him - he doesn't hesitate at water and happily pops over jumps with very cute snappy welshy knees. He carries himself in a lovely carriage, and is very soft to all aids - leg yield, transitions etc which scores nicely - I don't think we have scratched the surface in terms of what he is capable of in the dressage arena. Alec is by the same stallion as San Sebastian (x Owendale Sunstone x Don Ramiro) who competes at PSG level. Literally; pop a saddle on, off you go, you can ride out with anyone, you can go jumping, play dressage, bring him in - he’s so easy to do it all with, but he’s not boring either, He’s got razzle dazzle… and absolutely loves a cuddle. Alec is good to shoe, perfect to float, LOVES a wash etc (and hasn't been clipped while we've had him) and is ridden in a snaffle bit. Alec would be best suited to being a second or third pony; he loves to get on with the job at hand and thrives in consistent regular work. While he was my daughter's first pony, he is probably a bit sharp for most beginners - while he's a cool customer, he's not bombproof and is a forward moving pony who is very tuned into listening to his rider for instruction. My daughter has been very busy with sports in the last year, so Alec has been ridden by a small adult (and my daughter) for the last 9 months. He would also make a wonderful adults pony for an adult who wants a fun, honest pony who doesn't know he's 13.3hh and gives everything his whole heart. Home is the most important for us and Alec will not be sold sight unseen - any potential buyers are welcome to ask for references, test ride and have lessons on Alec by arrangement.
