Harry is an absolute superstar competing and established at Prix St George and has all the buttons and work started for Grand Prix. He is a stunning, sensationally moving horse that is also completely safe and trustworthy. At this level, these safe and sound schoolmaster horses are few and far between.

Education and experience: Harry is the ultimate dressage horse - with 8 official dressage results of up to 68% at Advanced and PSG level and he has only been competing at FEI level since early 2024! He has competed at major venues, remaining reliable and confident at all times and winning numerous titles and being on multiple high performance squads.

Harry’s has all the ‘tricks’! His ride-ability is unmatched with easy lateral work, consistent medium and extended paces, canter pirouettes and confirmed piaffe.

Harry is the same at home, as he is at competitions, whether outdoors or indoors. He is very calm and reliable. Harry has benefited from exposure to life outside of ‘being a dressage horse’ and some ‘light’ work years when his owner was starting her family. He has been given time to mature and develop at an appropriate and healthy pace.

Harry likes a variety of work, is safe on the trail, being ridden bareback, at the river and swimming in dams. Harry is not concerned by farm life - tractors, trucks, motorbikes, livestock, dogs or other pets.

General demeanour under saddle: Harry is responsive and willing. He is soft and 'light' in the bridle and willingly 'collects'. Harry works with a good contact in both a snaffle and double bridle. He is tolerant of rider mistakes and is straightforward enough for capable and confident amateur or young riders to enjoy and compete.

Current workload/ fitness: Harry is in work 5 times a week and is competing. He does not need to be ridden regularly to be safe and his behaviour is not affected by a spell.

Handling: Harry is super safe and is well mannered on the ground but is a big horse who likes a cuddle - he does need to be reminded of his ‘place’ at times.

Harry is easy to catch, lead and handle - for farrier,  picking out feet, grooming and washing. Harry loads into float and truck very easily, stands quietly when travelling and unloads calmly. He is easy and calm to clip.

Behaviour: Harry is a confidence builder and a true gentleman schoolmaster who is safe for novice riders under instruction - he is ridden by his owner’s 13 year old niece (video in portfolio) and was the first horse she cantered when she was only ten years old!

Harry is absolutely safe with no buck, bolt, rear but is not completely unflappable - like 99% of horses, if you jump out at him from behind a bush, he may do a small side step and stop to stare.

Feeding and management: Harry is fed easisport and is an easy doer. He is given ulcer protect supplements, a hoof supplement and 4Cyte - like most performance horses - as a preventative.

Medical history: Harry is 100% sound and without issues. Please open website link for portfolio and xrays/ medical info.

Rider Suitability: While safe for a novice rider, his owner feels that an intermediate rider who can ride him effectively will be the best fit. Over time, with a novice rider, his work may lose it’s sparkle.

Reason for sale: Harry is extremely reluctantly for sale due the climate in north Queensland. As the dressage level gets higher, his owner feels that the climate is affecting their ability to train as much as she would like to. She feels that a kinder climate would see him progress and reach his full potential.
